The CAN2 fieldbus system has a maximum transfer rate of 1 MBit/s which is widely prevalent and accepted in the automotive and other manufacturing industries.
Each Module has 2 Receive / Transmit ports. Multiple Feildbus modules can be provided within the CRFX and CRC chassis and 1 module is standard in all of the C-Series Data Acquisition and Control Systems.
These can be combined with LINbus, ARINC-429, Ethernet, RS232/485, Analog and digital modules. Each port supports up to 8 nodes as well as a variety of protocols such as CCP and KWP2000.
Measured data transmitted via CAN-Bus can be triggered, displayed and mathematically processed as desired. The protocol parameters are configured by means of the very user-friendly software, imc Studio or imc Devices, and can be saved in their physical units.

These are used in the communication with CANbus devices to communicate "Real-Time" messages (data and conditions) within an vehicle, test bench, building, bridge, manufacturing process, etc.
There are numerous multi-drop applications along bridges, Railway Tracks, Airport Runways, within trains and ships, where the synchronised data is captured from sources that are up to 500 metres apart.
