The KS78C100 accelerometer employs a shear piezo design optimized for low-cost applications while maintaining robust performance. It offers two sensitivity options, 10 mV/g and 100 mV/g, to accommodate different dynamic measurement needs. The device features a voltage sensitivity of 100 mV/g with a sensitivity tolerance of ±20%. It operates within a measurement range of ±60 g and can withstand forces up to 6000 g without destruction.
This accelerometer is characterized by its low transverse sensitivity (<5%) and broad frequency response, with 3 dB limits from 0.2 Hz to 20,000 Hz, ensuring accurate readings across a wide range of dynamic environments. It supports a constant current supply between 2 and 20 mA and maintains a bias voltage of 12 to 14.5 V at 4 mA. Additionally, its low output impedance (<100 Ω) and minimal residual noise contribute to reliable signal quality.
Housed in a stainless steel case with an insulated base to prevent ground loops, the KS78C100 is designed for durability and minimal interference. It is suitable for operating in temperatures ranging from -40 to 120°C and comes with various connection options, including axial connectors and compatibility with several low-noise cables and mounting accessories.
