The imc ARGUSfit is a modular measurement system designed for high-speed data acquisition (DAQ). This system features a compact base unit and various independently housed measurement and interface modules that connect via a tool-free "click" mechanism. The system supports measurement amplifiers and interface modules, including CAN bus modules, providing flexibility in configuration.
The imc ARGUSfit supports an aggregate sampling rate of up to 5 MS/s, with individual channel rates up to 500 kSample/s at 24-bit resolution, depending on the module. This range covers a wide spectrum of physical measurement applications.
The system's modular design allows for decentralized topologies. The ARGUS high-speed system bus can be converted to fiber optic cables using a media converter extension module, facilitating the integration of spatially distributed modules. The imc ARGUSfit also fully integrates with imc CANSASfit modules, which are suitable for slower channels like temperature measurement. These modules dock to the top of the base unit, providing power and CAN bus connectivity through an integrated system.
Data acquisition is networked via Ethernet, enabling configuration through a connected PC, which also serves as a data sink for continuous streaming. In stand-alone operation, the system can store data on removable microSD flash memory and perform real-time analyses using onboard imc Online FAMOS software, without requiring a PC.
